NursePower Obtains Accreditation for Private Duty Nursing Services

NursePower´s “Private Duty Nursing Services Program” Receives Full Accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Healthcare

NursePower Services (“NursePower”) was recently awarded “Accreditation” by the Accreditation Commission for Healthcare after completing a thorough and extensive evaluation of our Private Duty Nursing Services program.  The Accreditation Commission for Health Care has certified that Nursepower demonstrates a commitment to providing quality care and services to consumers through compliance with ACHC’s nationally recognized standards for Accreditation.

We congratulate the NursePower team for their individual efforts that helped NursePower receive this important Accreditation.  NursePower is proud of this recognition of our commitment to excellence and quality of service we provide to our pediatric patients and their families.

What is the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC)?

The Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) is a nonprofit accreditation organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986.  The organization has CMS Deeming Authority for Home Health, Hospice, DMEPOS, and Renal Dialysis Accreditation and is a quality management system that is ISO 9001:2008 certified.  Over the years, ACHC has developed industry-leading accreditation programs, which have positively affected countless organizations.  ACHC is a recognized leader in home health accreditation.  ACHC offers a collaborative survey approach designed to enhance business operations and ensure the highest quality patient care.  Developed specifically for Medicare-certified and Private Duty home health agencies, their realistic standards help providers succeed in meeting the Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and industry best practices.

Nursepower Services COVID-19 Notification

On March 21, 2020, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzer issued a statewide “Stay-at-Home” order to slow the coronavirus spread.  On April 23, 2020, Governor Pritzer eased some of the previous order´s restrictions and extended the statewide “Stay-at-Home” order until May 29, 2020.

According to the Proclamation issued by Governor Pritzker, NursePower Services (“NursePower”) is classified as an exempt organization to the “Stay-at-Home” order because we are a Human Services Operation, and a home-based care and services organization.  This exemption also applies to all NursePower staff members.

For your reference, we have provided the exacting wording from Governor Pritzker´s Proclamation that applies to NursePower and our staff members.

“Based on these exemptions, our nurses are authorized to travel to and from work in order to provide services to our clients and children.”
